What Pith Collects
Pith collects only the data necessary to calculate your delivery profits:
- Account info: Email address and password (password is hashed, never stored in plain text).
- Order data: Payout amounts, estimated miles, active minutes, platform/category names, and notes you enter.
- GPS location: When you start a shift, Pith records GPS breadcrumbs to track mileage. Location is only collected while the app is actively tracking a shift. GPS data is stored on our server tied to your account.
- Vehicle info: Make, model, year, MPG, and maintenance records you enter for cost calculations.
- Photos: Delivery screenshots and receipts you upload are stored on our server.
What Pith Does NOT Collect
- We do not collect contacts, call logs, browsing history, or any data unrelated to delivery tracking.
- We do not use advertising SDKs or tracking pixels.
- We do not collect data when the app is closed or when you are not on a shift.
How Your Data Is Used
Your data is used solely to:
- Calculate your true profit per delivery (accounting for fuel, maintenance, depreciation, and tax reserves).
- Show you analytics about your earnings over time.
- Track mileage for tax deduction purposes.
Data Sharing
We do not sell your data. We do not share your personal data with third parties. Your delivery data, GPS tracks, and earnings are yours.
The only external service Pith contacts is OSRM (Open Source Routing Machine) to compare GPS-tracked distance with road distance. Only GPS coordinates are sent — no personal identifiers.
Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored on servers controlled by Pith LLC. Connections are encrypted via HTTPS. Passwords are hashed with PBKDF2-SHA256. Sensitive fields (like two-factor secrets) are encrypted at rest.
Data Deletion
You can request deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us. We will delete your data within 30 days of the request.
